Triple P - Positive Parenting Program

The NSW Government has announced that all families in NSW with children 3-8 years will have free access to the Positive Parenting Program or Triple P. Triple P is a well regarded, Australian designed parenting program that assists parents to learn how simple routines and changes can make a big difference to your family.

Triple P seminars and groups are currently being held in regional locations across NSW.

Dad's Toolkit

Whether you are a new dad or have older children - being involved in your child's life matters. Research has shown that as a dad,building a positive and involved relationship with your child from the beginning can make an enormous difference not only to their early development but right into their adult life.

Northern Sydney has produced building blocks and talking tools for dads with children 0-8. This resource is also now available in Korean and Chinese.

Growing up strong Bubs


This new book parenting book is one of a series published for Aboriginal parents.

Growing Up Strong Bubs is a resource for Aboriginal parents, families and community workers in Western Sydney, Hawkesbury and the Blue Mountains of NSW. This book talks about how we can help our bubs to grow up strong by spending time with them—cuddling, playing, singing, reading, listening, telling stories and talking.

The book includes a list of body parts in Dharug language and a song in Gundungarra language and includes photos of families from the Western Sydney area.

Paint the Town Read

Paint the Town Read is a community literacy capacity building program rolling out across NSW. It is based on a very successful model developed in Parkes over 10 years ago.

The program aims is to encourage all levels of the community to support the development of children's early literacy skills from birth, so that they will be ready to engage in reading and writing at school. Read more about Paint the Town Read in Cumberland and Nepean areas.
